Willow works at the Purple Pig Cafe with a steak of pink through her blonde hair and a diamond stud in her nose. She accidentally runs into Ethan, brother of her friend Heather. He seems way stuffy and is really rude to Willow making her feel less of a person on her lunch break as she is relaxing outdoors. As fate would have it Heather invites Willow to her birthday gathering "as her date" to mess with her parents as she was told to bring someone but she didn't really want to cold invite a man so she just brought her best friend. As the story moves and unfolds Ethan and Willow become friends and move forward from this as circumstances draw them together. The burning of the Food Bank and since Ethan is a fireman he's on the job and Willow helps out etc. Ethan is struggling with past hurt as well as Willow. Ethan was a widow with small children and Willow had her own issues to deal with. I did enjoy the story it moved along at a nice pace and was enjoyable. There were a few references to Yoga, which isn't my thing at all but I just skipped over those parts as there were only a few references. All in all I found the book a pleasant read for the summer and if you are looking for a good read I believe you will love this book :) I did receive this book for review purposes and no monies were exchanged.
